hello.
before i start blogging, i must say that the steamboat on friday was awesome! even though (maybe) grace and i did buy a little too much vegetables but seriously, sir dixon's house is neat! big and nice and clean. :)

first week of work was pretty crazy. straight on reporting for work i was appointed as creative director for the Good News Singapore video announcement shoot, followed by Victory Family Centre corporate video (and brochures). i started out little perked up by the amount of trust Keh has in me. then when the reality sank in, and moments where i am sitting alone with the editors that we hired, stress and fear came in. super scared man, seriously. so much pressure!

thursday was our video shoot. and friday the main first cut for approval. it was quite intimidating because the man in charge was pretty fierce. i think he feels i am a little young and i do look noob la. so there were certain times where he raised his voice... it got kinda heated at some point and he bursted by commenting that i have a 'hostile body language.' well, my first defense was that i was not anyway 'hostile' or bossy what... i was reeeaaaallly talking nicely (really! i was very scared of him man. i was literally whispering! hahaha) about what is required in the shoot/video. i think our ideas clashed a bit and he was put off by my silence in our meetings (i was quiet cause my boss was talking). ok la i guess the way i put it on my blog i really look like the innocent victim la. who knows what he is saying to his friends about me right... hahaha aiyah but everything aside, once again, he reminded me that i am really bad with strangers. sigh... i'm sorry i am really trying! wah lau.

it did not end in a bad note though. after some time later we talked normally and i apologized for me being 'hostile' (i'm really not hostile ok!) and that i didn't mean to. he said sorry too and we started talking about God. he is is also a christian.. haha there was one part where he asked me if i wanted to do freelancing for him. i told him maybe not now then he was like, "you must work in the secular cause the devil stole all the christians' money! the real challenge is to work in the world but not be like the world." i smiled... but inside i was laughing. super funny man. ok sorry.. i must be nice. yes. smiles. :) :) :)

the next day (saturday, today) i met up with the editor again... a different one this time. i was so nervous in the morning because in my first impression, he was the 'fat scary one.' i prayed for God's covering man. hahaha and yes, it ended well. God is good and we talked a lot about motion graphics and he taught me a few tricks for animating objects! real cool guy. he even offered that we had a good dinner after this project - all we had was one char shao bao and kopi for lunch + dinner. alan drove me to theEDGE later to pass the cds to the others. and that marked the end of the 'angie face announcement video' (and so i hope)

the week ahead.... more projects! i am saving money to buy more stuff for my office desk. right now it is an old clock i have, a potted plant and the coral i bought with jiahao during our navy sails.

very tired. hope to catch a good break soon. mom mentioned that she wanted to go to bangkok for a bit. maybe i should... see how la. i have three papers due next week, have not started. can't wait for school to start again next month. work is mad.

the shoes in the pic is not mine.. even though i do wish i can buy some proper shoes soon and replace my torn, stapled ones... and jeans! i need jeans! new black jeans! i keep steping on their ends and ripping them. so funny i ripped a piece off in the editing studio then when we were leaving, alan picked it up and asked, "uh is this yours?" i replied (lied), "oh ya haha thanks. that's my bookmark." i quickly picked it up and threw it in my bag. *smacks head*
